One family, three places
For more than forty years, Monique and Didier Pignet have welcomed guests into homes they love, on a Caribbean island, beside a French river, and deep in a Québec forest.
Monique & Didier Pignet
It began in 1980, on Saint-Barthélemy. Monique and Didier started renting out villas the way you would lend a friend the keys to your own home, and in time the island became exactly that: a second home, and a circle of guests they came to know by name.
They have never wanted a large portfolio. Every house in the collection is one the family knows in person, kept because they would happily stay there themselves.
For more than three decades, Monique and Didier Pignet have been designing, building, decorating, and personally managing exceptional villas in St. Barth. Their passion for architecture, design, and hospitality is reflected in every property they offer and in every guest experience they create.
A collection gathered over a lifetime
Where it all started
Saint-Barthélemy came first, and it is still the heart of the collection: sun-warmed villas above the sea, looked after by a family that has called the island home for over forty years. Guests were never clients here. They were people to be met at the door and sent off already planning their return.
A château, and a name
In 2009, while visiting friends in the Loire, Monique and Didier fell for a fifteenth-century château at Candes-Saint-Martin, where the Vienne meets the Loire, once the summer residence of the bishops of Tours. Over seven years, with more than a hundred local artisans, they brought it back to life. Monique designed the interiors and chose the art herself. Reborn, it gave the whole collection its name: Château de Môh.
A northern chapter
Later came Charlevoix, in Québec: timber chalets in the forests above the Saint Lawrence, wood-fired and wrapped in silence. Three landscapes now, held by one family, each chosen for the way it makes you slow down and stay a while longer.
The story continues
At the château, their son Bertrand and his wife Jingwen now carry its hospitality forward, so that the welcome that began on a small Caribbean island passes gently to the next generation.
Three destinations, one family
A family collection
Môh’s Favorite Places is the personal collection of Monique and Didier Pignet, curated across three destinations they know and return to.
Designed by hand
At the Loire château, Monique designed the interiors and the art herself, working with more than a hundred local artisans over seven years.
Kept small on purpose
Three destinations, held deliberately small, so that the family knows each property, and each guest, in person.
One name
The collection takes its name from Château de Môh, the family’s restored château on the Loire.
Stay with the family
Tell the concierge your dates and the kind of escape you have in mind. A tailored proposal, drawn from homes the family knows by heart, will follow, usually the same day.
